The 24th Biennial International Conference of the International Association for the Advancement of High Pressure Science and Technology (AIRAPT) was held in conjunction with the 18th Biennial International Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (APS-SCCM) in Seattle, Washington, from July 7th through July 12th, 2013. This conference was organized by the American Physical Society. The chairs for this conference were Choong-Shik Yoo, Rip Collins, and David Moore.
Professor Pengwan Chen attended this conference, and he gave two oral talks: one entitled “Size-effect of explosive sensitivity under low velocity impact” in Energetic Materials Session and the other entitled “A novel assembly used for hot-shock consolidation” in New Materials Session.
