The 4th International Symposium on Energetic Materials and their Applications was held from 15th November to 18th November, 2011, at the Okinawa Pref. Municipal Center, Naha, Okinawa, Japan. PhD student of SPC, Danzhu Ma attended the conference. Dr. Danzhu Ma gave an oral presentation entitled "Numerical Simulation on Size-effect of PBX Explosives in Steven Test ".
The 4th International Symposium on Energetic Materials and their Applications was organized by Japan Explosives Society. The aims of ISEM2011 are to share experiences and knowledge, and to provide an up-to-date comprehensive assessment of recent concerns for the energetic materials and their application. The topics in this symposium included explosives and its related sciences, fundamental researches and their applications in the fields of synthesis and characterization of energetic materials, pyrotechnics, combustion and detonation, blasting, shock compression, hazard, safety, security and risk management. Nearly 200 scholars and scientists, coming from different countries of the world, were present at this conference. About 130 papers were accepted.
